Manual Instructions of Decision Tranzview System
Unit 1. What's Tranzview
After reading this unit, you will be able to ~
The tranzview unit is basically
a PC running Linux and our proprietary
software. We use DOM device to store all the software so there
is no hard
disk unit and no moving parts.
This software is an internet
host (our own webserver if you will) along with
a controller for a 4 port video capture device which you can connect
4
standard cctv cameras. The software does many functions including
the most
common function of acting as a switcher for the cameras.
Additionally, we have the
ability to connect 4 serial devices, normally they
are interconnect cables which will interface with cash register
receipt
printers.
In most instances, the
users (customers) want to monitor the cash register
area with their cctv cameras. They point the CCTV camera at the
cash
register so that the user can watch their employees when they approach
the
cash register.
Using tranzview, the user
can watch and monitor both the visual image (what
the camera sees) and now the receipt information (what the cash
register is
doing) on the same video screen. Using easy to program exception
reporting,
you can specify exactly what you want to monitor coming out of
the cash
register. So, if you want to see all sales of cigarettes for instance,
you
would program cigarrettes as an exception. Each time that item
is sold, it
will appear on the screen next to the visual image.
We also manufacture special
industrial interface boards which can control
other funcitonalities using our software. They include controlling
electrical switches for on-off states, temperature measurement,
pan-tilt
functonalities, zoom functionalities, etc.... These boards can
be installed
in the Tranzview unit to add even more functionalities as described
above,
all controllable by the user using standard internet explorer or
netscape
browsers. Test these functions at http:\\202.39.29.26
Users can also purchase
separate 120 gig hard disk units and add DVR
(digital video recorder) functionalities to their Tranzview units
at a
fraction of the cost of traditional DVR units.
